William Jean Beauley

    Born in Illinois, William Jean Beauley became a New York City painter and architect. Trained as an architectural draftsman, he studied under Henry Bacon and then French architect Maurice Yvon; it was in Paris that Beauley first became acquainted with painters. In New York, he would learn from the illustrious Ashcan painter Robert Henri. Beauley was a member of the Architectural League of New York, the American Art Association of Paris, the Players Club, and the Art Club of Philadelphia. His work is in the collection of the Vanderpoel Art Association, Chicago, Illinois.
