An active participant in the New York art scene at the turn of the twentieth century, Richard M. Kimbel was a member of the Allied Artists of America, Salmagundi Club, New York Society of Painters, and National Arts Club. He exhibited at many prestigious venues, including the Corcoran Art Gallery, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Art Institute of Chicago, and Salmagundi Club. An example of his work is held in the permanent collection of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
