Note: Today, Lake Park is known as Grant Park. The building visible at the center of the composition is the Interstate Exposition Building, which was demolished in 1890 to make way for the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition, the site of the current Art Institute of Chicago.
Joseph T. Gorman was the former chairman and chief executive officer of the automotive and aerospace company TRW Inc. and of Moxahela Enterprises, a venture capital firm.
