Note: Guy C. Wiggins is admired for his impressionistic scenes of New York. The artist had a particular interest in rendering the city’s landmarks in winter, blanketed with snow. Wiggins had a studio near Washington Square Park and depicted the square with its iconic marble arch in several paintings.
