This work relates to a mural project Marsh completed as a Great Depression-era commission by the Treasury Relief Art Project (TRAP) at the Alexander Hamilton U. S. Custom House in New York City, currently the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian. The frescoes are on the rotunda ceiling of the building and depict New York Harbor scenes.
