Note
One of the best-known Brandywine Valley realist painters today, Peter Sculthorpe conveys the stillness of a winter evening in a rural landscape in The Breath of Winter, 2025. Having studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Sculthorpe takes up the tradition of representational painting laid out by generations of Academy students before him. He has been featured in various issues of American Art Collector and his works are held in the collections of the Brandywine Museum of Art, the Delaware Art Museum, and the Frye Museum.
