Note: Louis Lozowick’s City on the Rock looks across the Mohawk River towards Waterford from Cohoes, New York. The artist depicts two bridges in the scene—a railroad bridge on the left and the Saratoga Ave Bridge on the right, which was replaced by a concrete version in 1932.

The Print Club of Cleveland commissioned a lithograph from Lozowick in 1931 for their annual presentation prints and the artist chose this scene for his submission.
