C. Gordon Harris

C. Gordon Harris studied at the Rhode Island School of Design with Cyrus Farnum, Stacy Tolman, and George A. Hays. A lifelong Rhode Island resident, he was active in the Providence Art Club, the Providence Watercolor Club, and the South County Art Association, and exhibited at the Attleboro Museum of Art, among others. Dedicated to supporting local artists, he taught extensively, painted on location from spring through fall, and traveled for painting trips, including to Bermuda. Following his passing, a painting was purchased and presented to the Lincoln Town Hall in his memory.
